Netflix's latest season of Stranger Things incorporates numerous 1980s retro elements, but when an NES game console appears in Derek's room, viewers have noticed that the footage shown is not the NES version of Ghosts 'n Goblins, but rather the arcade version.

According to foreign media reports, the first four episodes of the series are available on Netflix. Derek's room is decorated with retro Easter eggs, and he is playing Ghosts 'n Goblins on an NES. However, the footage shown is the arcade version, not the home console version originally released for the NES.

Netizens later compared Derek's gameplay footage with the arcade version of *Ghosts 'n Goblins*, pointing out that the two were identical. The same netizen further revealed that when searching for high-definition *Ghosts 'n Goblins* videos on YouTube, the top-ranked clips "looked exactly like" the scenes in the game, suggesting that the staff directly used online videos, believing they had obtained the correct version.
